No More Mean Nurse Shirley!!!

Some good news is that mean nurse Shirley is NO MORE!!! She was re-assigned to a new patient, and James will not have to deal with her tonight. My husband, Trent, and I visited with the day nurse and nurse supervisor. We explained nicely that we felt there may have been a conflict of personalities. It was a little more than a conflict of personalities, but we did not want to get anything started in fear that she would not get re-assigned. James got so mad at her that he threw his urinal bottle across the room. Luckily, it was empty. James finally got some sleep this afternoon after being up most of the night. Thank you to the friends who stopped by and hung out with us in the waiting room. We appreciate you understanding that even though he would love to see everyone, he really needed to get some sleep today. He still hasn't been able to eat much, but he seems to love his Insure strawberry shakes. Even though his white blood cell count rose today, the doctor said it was to be expected. He will be hooked back up to the machine tomorrow for another 6 hour round.
