Wednesday Night Update

James now has a while blood cell count of 410,000. It is down slightly, but his red blood cell count is down too. Tonight, they will give him a blood transfusion of one unit of blood. The results from the arteriorgram came back clear. They are unable to find the bleeder. The doctors are going to watch him for a few days. For the leukapheresis process, he is going to be hooked up every day for 6 hours to the machine at least until Friday. If his white blood cell count has not lowered to the desired level, then they will continue the process through the weekend. The desired white blood cell count level they are trying to reach is 100,000. Once this point is reached, I believe that they can begin chemo.
